Huge congratulations to our newest blue belt – Stuart Haxell!
A huge congratulations to Stuart Haxell on his promotion to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt at Atlantic Jiu Jitsu. Stuart has made this major accomplishment despite being visually impaired.
Stuart has been training martial arts with Micky Downs at Sligo Martial Arts Academy since 11 years old, where he earned his 2nd Dan Karate black belt. Some of his other accomplishments include currently studying a masters degree in IT Sligo and also representing Ireland in Blind Tennis.
Stuart is a great inspiration our team, he comes in and trains hard and is merciless on the mats. We love training with him.
