His dedication and skill earned him titles like USA Judo National Champion, Pan American Team Member, and Youth Olympic Champion. In high school, he became a two-time undefeated state wrestling champion in Illinois, securing a full scholarship to wrestle D1 at Cal Poly. Post-Judo, he dominated D2 wrestling at San Francisco State University, captaining the team and earning Rocky Mountain Conference Wrestler of the Year. Now a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu, Max is ambitiously pursuing his black belt. Since 2013, he has become a highly sought-after coach, known for his deep understanding of grappling techniques. Max has had the privilege of working with elite MMA fighters such as Yair Rodriguez, Holly Holm and Paddy Pimblett. He currently teaches at The Arena and Studio 540 in San Diego, where his classes are celebrated for transforming students of all levels into formidable grapplers.
