A terrific day was had by our competition team at the IBJJF Irish Nationals 2019. The tournament took place at the National Indoor Arena in Dublin on May 25th. The standard was very high – with competitors from all over competing to be crowned National Champion.
The competition took place in one day, with two events taking place – one in Gi and one in No-Gi style. Competing as part of the Alliance family, we joined forces with our good friends at Royal Grappling Academy in an attempt to take the team title.
We rallied hard and just fell a little short of the top spot. However, We were delighted to take home the 2nd place overall team trophy!

We are so proud to train with each and every one of our members. Our team did us very proud and represented the club to the highest standard. It feels amazing to have come 2nd overall, but we know the 1st place trophy is not too far out of sight.
