August Schedule Adjustment: Embracing Open Mat Training for All Levels this Summer

As we move into August, we’ve noticed a seasonal trend of reduced attendance during this particular month. To accommodate this change and to ensure our classes are still well attended, we will be adjusting our timetable for August. (From Tuesday August 6th to Monday August 31st)

In August, Instead of our usual structured classes, we will transition to open mat training sessions for this period. Instructors will still be on hand to help guide your training and help you make the best of this opportunity.

  • – Booking requirements for classes will be still in place.
  • Tues & Thurs evening will be No-Gi focused. However, there is no strict rule, you can train Gi or No-Gi at any of the sessions.
  • – The schedule will revert to normal from Monday Sept 2nd.
  • – Open to All Levels

Personalised Practice: This is a fantastic chance to work on specific skills and areas of your game that you want to improve. Whether you need to work on certain positions or get in some extra sparring, open mats offer the perfect setting.
Collaborative Learning: Open mats promote a collaborative environment where you can learn from a variety of training partners. Share tips, practice together, and benefit from the collective knowledge of the team.

Staff Recharge: By giving our dedicated coaches some downtime, we ensure they return refreshed and ready to bring even more energy and expertise to our classes in September.

Community Building: Open mat sessions are a wonderful way to strengthen our team community. You’ll have more opportunities to connect with other members, exchange ideas, and support each other’s progress.

We believe this temporary shift will not only keep your training consistent but also add an element of fun and flexibility to your practice. Our goal is to maintain the high quality of your Jiu Jitsu experience while accommodating the summer rhythm.
